2024 Non-Profit Grant Recipients

The Threaded Fasteners Charitable Foundation Non-Profit Grant Committee has selected three organizations a to receive grants for their program.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Mobile, AL – Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mobile provides a supportive home environment offering care, compassion, and hope to families with seriously ill and injured children being treated at area hospitals. The House welcomed their first family in February 2000 and originally, Ronald McDonald House of Mobile could accommodate up to 12 families. Today, after an expansion was completed in May of 2011, RMHC of Mobile House can accommodate up to 38 families of hospitalized children. They have been open 24 years and have served almost 11,000 families. The grant will be used for our “Taste of Hope” program. We have organizations, individuals, and even former families to sign up to come prepare food for our current families. We want to make sure our kitchen is always fully stocked for anyone to find everything they need to cook a meal.- should this be in 3rd person?- The grant will be used for the “Taste of Hope” program. Safenet Services, Inc. Tulsa, OK – Safenet Services serves Rogers and Mayes counties by creating a safe, supportive environment for individuals and families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Established in 1991, Safenet has grown significantly, culminating in the construction of the Donald W. Reynolds Family Center in Claremore in 2012, which tripled service capacity. Safenet offers a range of services, including a 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, court advocacy, support groups, and supervised visitation. Certified through the Office of the Attorney General and a United Way partner, Safenet also operates two resale stores, Second Impressions, which fund essential services and provide aid to those in need. The grant will help to maintain the essential operations of their crisis and resource center for individuals and families fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Funding from this grant will allow them to continue providing safety, security, and support programs to help victims and their children escape violence and heal from trauma.

 

Home of Grace for Women Mobile, AL – Founded in 1973 by Doris Wood-Littleton, the Home of Grace for Women provides affordable residential substance abuse treatment and outpatient services for women 18 and older. The program offers substance abuse education, individual and group counseling, job readiness training, and aftercare services. It takes a holistic approach, addressing the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs of women in recovery. Women who complete the 90-day treatment program can apply for a transitional graduate program, allowing them to continue living on campus while pursuing education or employment. Expectant mothers and their children can live in specialized housing like Hannah’s House and Esther’s House. Rent is based on a sliding scale, making it accessible for low- to moderate-income women, helping them achieve self-sufficiency in a supportive environment. The grant will be applied toward completing renovation of a bedroom/bathroom suite in Esther’s House, the graduate/transitional living house for women and their minor children.
