A Transformational New Year
2026
Imagine standing on the bow of a boat looking across the ocean, or standing on a long stretch of desert highway, how far could you see? Mr. Google says 3-4 miles. Wait, what? But I can see the moon, and it’s over 230,000 miles away, and what about the stars, and on Look-Out Mountain, I can see 7 states. After you wrestle with the science of curvature, and reflective light, and elevation perspectives, come back to this; how far can I see ahead, in other words, how big is my vision?
In his book, Believing is Seeing, Dr. Kevin Elko turns the familiar phrase “seeing is believing” upside down and exposes how it quietly limits human potential. Dr. Elko’s core thesis is that what we believe internally determines what we are able to see externally.
Our 2025 has been an incredibly successful year. Records broken month after month and bells ringing from Orlando to Lewisville and everywhere in between. So as we close out the year, I want to say THANK YOU. Without your commitment to create value in and for the people we serve, the growth, wins, milestones, and moments of 2025 would not have been possible. We didn’t just hit goals, we raised the standards.
I believe that 2026 will be a transformational year for TFI and it’s growing family of companies, but it’s not about chasing BIGGER, it’s a relentless pursuit of BETTER. One hit wonders make it to the top of the mountain, but legacy builders live there. So what makes transformation happen, and what’s my part in it?
It’s not easy, but the concept is simple; push out the walls of your box. A common mistake is using the phrase, “I’ve got to think outside the box”, but the reality is we haven’t completed what’s “IN” my box. Once you’ve cleaned up your box, push out and expand the walls. Once that happens you begin to influence and elevate the people around you, then suddenly you have moved from ME-ville to WE-ville. Question: are my pursuits elevating the people around me?
I’m grateful beyond my vocabulary to express what an honor it is to serve alongside such a talented group of servant leaders at TFI, SEF, QG, RTC, BBC and ……….. (announcing soon).
One thing I will definitely carry over from 2025 to the new year; our rallying shout out…..LET’S GO!!!!!
